Fall Update from Gamma Alumni Assc

Alumni,

Hope everyone is having a great Summer. Below please find a number of updates for the Gamma Chapter:

Chapter Update

  • Chapter had a very successful Spring Rush. The Chapter will have 28 Brothers living in this Fall Semester.
  • Fall rush starts on 8/26 and will continue through Labor Day Weekend. If you have any potential rushees please fill out our Rush Recommendation Form so we can share with the Vice-Archon to contact.

Rush Retreat – Saturday, August 20

  • Fall rush retreat will be held on Saturday, Aug 20 starting at 2 pm (Alumni Association meeting will start at noon) at Bill Peironnet’s house in the Santa Cruz Mountains (just south of Los Gatos)
  • Rush retreats at Bill and Launy’s always have great food and are a good time. They are very family friendly too.
  • If you’d like to come out and join us, please email me back by Monday, Aug 15.

Cal Football Games @ AT&T

  • As most of you know, this year’s Cal Football Home Games will be held in San Francisco due to the reconstruction of Memorial Stadium.
  • The Alumni Association and Chapter are working on hosting a couple of pre-game tailgates at either Pete’s Tavern or Pedro’s Cantina (128 King) across from the Stadium. They have several private dining/cocktail areas that can host up to 100 people. There is a minimum amount we’d have to spend.
  • We are considering the following games at AT&T park:
    • Thursday, 10/13 vs USC
    • Saturday, 10/22 vs Utah
    • Saturday, 11/5 vs WSU
    • Saturday, 11/12 vs OSU
  • If you are interested in attending one of the potential tailgates, please let us know by Friday, 8/19 with the games you’d be interested in attending and the # of folks attending.
  • More information will be sent out as we get interest and work on availability with Pete’s/Pedro’s.

Gammazette Alumni Updates

  • We are currently collecting alumni updates to put into our Fall Gammazette. Please send us your alumni update by Friday, 8/26.

Thanks again for your time and look forward to seeing you this Fall.
